What it is

- peak, rolldown and spin/exit windows
- recall of the last 10 pitches
- a backlit LCD
- an IP67-rated aluminum and magnesium housing
- a rechargeable Li-ion battery handle that Stalker rated for over 5 hours of transmit time

Who it's for
- Scouts and college programs that want spin rate and long range, and don't want to pay new Pro 3s prices.
- Serious pitching instructors who already know what to do with spin data.
- Not for parents. For velocity alone, a Pocket Radar does the job for a fraction of the price.
Its limits
- Discontinued. You lose the warranty, and service and parts depend on Stalker's support.
- Old batteries. Li-ion handles wear out with age. Price a replacement into the deal.
- Heavy for a handheld, at 2.15 lb.
- No modern app like the Sport 3 Connect's.
- Used prices swing a lot. Compare several sold listings before you buy.

FAQ
Is the Stalker Pro IIs discontinued?
Yes, as far as we can tell. Stalker's store no longer has a Pro IIs product page, and the Pro 3s is now its handheld spin-rate gun. Pro IIs guns still sell used.
How accurate is the Stalker Pro IIs?
Stalker's 2019 operator manual lists ±3% of reading over 1–150 mph.
How far can the Pro IIs measure spin rate?
The manual's spec table lists a maximum spin-measuring distance of 200 ft; the product brochure says 150 ft. Velocity range on baseballs is listed at 300–500 ft with a clear view.
What's the difference between the Pro IIs and the Pro 3s?
The Pro 3s is the current model. Stalker lists faster spin detection, better accuracy from multiple field positions, 150 ft spin range and a 500 ft velocity range. It's $2,899.99 for the gun at stalkersport.com.
What should I check when buying a used Pro IIs?
Ask for the serial number, a video of it reading a pitch (or a tuning fork) with spin showing, the battery handle's age and whether the charger is included. A tired Li-ion battery handle is the most common weak point on any older gun.
Did Applied Concepts make Stalker guns?
Yes. Applied Concepts, Inc. is the Texas company behind the Stalker brand. Our old Applied Concepts article now points here.
